These policies are established between LEO Fencing Club, referred to as the "Club," and the undersigned individual, referred to as the "Member." Collectively, the Club and the Member are referred to as the "Parties."
1. Club Membership Fees & Payment Schedule

Membership Term: The membership term shall begin on date of signed agreement and continue on a month-to-month basis until terminated by either party as outlined in Section 7.

Annual Club Membership Fee: A non-refundable fee of $300 for the first fencer, due upon registration.
For families:-
$500 for two fencers

$700 for three fencers

Monthly Tuition Fees:
-
Monthly fees are based on the member’s class selection. Fees are due on a rolling basis, based on the member's initial registration date. For example, if a member joins on the 10th of a month, monthly payments are due on the 10th of each subsequent month. Payment is processed via credit card.

As fencers advance or change to different class programs, the Member agrees to pay the class fee for that program (a new membership agreement will not be issued).

Payment Methods: Payments are accepted through credit card, Zelle, cash, or automatic bank transfer.
2. Club Membership & Program-specific Benefits
With Annual Club Membership, the Member is entitled to:

Access the Club's facilities during regular operating hours

Participation in group fencing classes the fencer has registered for

Access to Open Fencing sessions (for members who also hold a USA Fencing competitive membership)

Priority to access and member-pricing for camps, clinics and sessions with invited guest coaches

Ability to schedule private lessons with Club coaches, based on availability

Access to the armory and armory support
-
Access to member-only events
Additional program-specific benefits for group class registrants include:

Members may use club-issued equipment and gear for class in lieu of purchasing their own (Learn to Fence (U13), Allez Beginner (U15), Adult Learn to Fence)

Club patch for members who are competitive fencers
3. Private Lessons & Cancellations

Private Lessons: Members can schedule private lessons with Club coaches, based on availability. Payments for private lessons are made to the Club via credit card at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy: A 24-hour notice is required for private lesson cancellations. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in full payment for the lesson, except in cases of emergency. If the Club cancels a lesson, a make-up session will be arranged.
4. Late Payments & Penalties

A $25 late fee will be applied if payments are not received within 10 days of the due date.

Members with outstanding balances 15 days past due may be suspended from training and competitions until the balance is cleared.

Membership may be terminated if payments remain overdue for 30 days, with a $50 reactivation fee required for re-enrollment.
5. Refunds & Cancellations

Annual Club Membership Fee: Non-refundable.

Monthly Tuition Fees: Non-refundable, except in cases of medical emergencies (a doctor's note is required). Members who wish to cancel their membership must provide at least 30 days' written notice before the next billing cycle to avoid further charges.

Clinic Fees: No refunds will be issued after registration for events unless the event is canceled by the organizer.
6. Club Member's Responsibilities
a. The Member agrees to comply with all Club rules and regulations.
b. The Member acknowledges the importance of proper use of fencing equipment and agrees to follow safety guidelines.
c. The Member agrees to maintain an active membership in good standing with US Fencing Association and to be affiliated with LEO Fencing Club (dual club membership is allowed for fencers fencing at the collegiate level)
d. The Member is responsible for updating the Club with any changes to contact and payment information.
7. Termination of Membership
a. Member Initiated: The Member may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice at least 30 days before the desired termination date. Monthly dues and Annual Membership will not be refunded upon cancellation, and the Member must settle any outstanding balances before departure.
b. Club Initiated: The Club reserves the right to terminate this Agreement in case of violation of Club rules or non-payment of fees.
8. LEO Clinic, Competition & Camp Fees

Fees for LEO Clinics, competitions and camps must be paid in full before registration.

No refunds will be given for events once registration has been submitted, except if the event is canceled by the organizer.
9. Liability Waiver & USA Fencing License

Fencing is regulated nationally by USA Fencing. In order to be a member of any fencing club in the US, fencers are required to maintain, at a minimum, a non-competitive fencing license.

Trial Membership (FREE): Required for Free Trial at LEO Fencing Club and lasts for 90 days.

Access Membership ($29/year): Required after 90 days to take part in classes and lessons; and to compete at the local level.

Competitive Membership ($99/year): Ready to take the next step and compete at a Regional, National, or International competition? As a competitive member, you'll have the right to enter and compete in these prestigious, fun-filled tournaments located in cities across the country.

The Member acknowledges that participation in fencing activities involves inherent risks, and the Club shall not be held liable for any injuries or damages sustained by the Member.
10. Miscellaneous
a. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Parties and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings.
b. Any modifications to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both Parties.
